Cathalina Pabon

Cathalina J. Pabon (nee Lawers), age 99 of Lorain, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain.

Born on August 16, 1924, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, to Petrus and Florentina (nee Torres) Lawers, she moved to Lorain in the 1950s.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel.She enjoyed taking care of her family, gardening and traveling.

Surviving are her children: Myriam (Tony) Arvelo, Wilson (Vicky) Pabon, William Pabon, George Pabon, Jaime Pabon, Betty (Karl) Humphries, Aida (Tony) Dodson and Elvin Pabon; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren as well as one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Julio Pabon in 2010; both of her parents; daughter-in-law, Patrice (nee Kuzak) Pabon; brother, Enrique Torres and her sister, Gladys Torres. Private burial services were held.
