Carolanne Kopp

Carolanne “Carol” Kopp (née Abahazi), 83, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 19, 1942.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Elizabeth Abahazi; her brothers Andrew, Eugene, and Oscar; and her sisters Vera, Eleanor, Betty, Julie, Marge, and Ida.

She is survived by her devoted children: daughters Tina and Lora (Jason); sons Adam (Meghan) and Mark (Tammy); and her beloved cat, Max.

Carol was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.

Carol found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved watching all Cleveland sports teams, never missed Wheel of Fortune—which she fondly called “The Wheel”—and faithfully followed her afternoon soap operas and the Game Show Network.

Known for her quiet strength and selflessness, Carol never complained and always put everyone else first. Her kindness, patience, and love will remain her lasting legacy.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
