Carol J. Katkic

Carol J. Katkic (nee Pernisky) age 76, of Lorain, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Cleveland Clinic, Avon following a long hard battle with multiple illness.
Born September 27, 1941 in Lorain, she was a lifelong resident of Lorain.
Carol was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Lorain. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, reading, traveling to Las Vegas, decorating her house for the holidays and buying new cars. Carol had the biggest heart and her main goal was taking care of her family.
Surviving is her husband, Joe; son, Joseph III of Lorain; a niece, Sharon (Timothy) Lewis of Vermilion; and a nephew, Brian (Shellie) Sas of Anchorage, Alaska and their children.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey in 2014; parents, Adam and Mary (nee Sas) Pernisky; a brother, James in 2008; and a sister, Geraldine Pernisky in 2004.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Monday at 12:00 pm. Rev. John C. Retar, pastor of St. Frances Cabrini Parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
