Carlos M. Gracia

Carlos “Charlie” M. Gracia, of Louisville, KY and formerly of Lorain, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Norton Healthcare, Louisville, Kentucky after a short battle with cancer. 

Born March 13, 1952 in Corozal, Puerto Rico, he came to Lorain with his family in 1955.  Carlos graduated from Southview High School, class of 1971 and served in the US Army.  After his retirement from Lithonia he moved to Louisville where he was employed by Home Depot and retired in 2018.

Carlos enjoyed playing baseball for many leagues, throwing darts and was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Guardians.  He also enjoyed hanging out with his friends.

Surviving are his children Cynthia (Luis) Suarez, Roseanne (Kenneth) King, and Carlos (Allyson) Gracia all of Lorain Ohio; his grandchildren, Airiana Suarez, Luis Suarez, Alexandria Church, Sean Church and Oliver Gracia; brothers, Jose F. (Iris) and Victor M. (Margret); 8 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Mariano Gracia Sr. in 2001, mother, Georgiana Gracia in 2013; brothers, Mariano Jr. in 1985, Raymond in 1979; and sister, Myriam in 2010.
