Burreean Dowell

Burreean Laxtuss Dowell, age 38, passed away peacefully in his home in Lorain, Ohio, on September 23, 2025. 

Born to Jane and William Dowell, Burreean was the youngest of three brothers, preceded in life by Daronne Dowell and Cliffton Dowell. He was a beloved father, a devoted son, a proud Marine, and a man of unwavering faith. Burreean served our country honorably for four years in the United States Marine Corps. His dedication, strength, and selflessness were not only seen in his service but in the way he lived every day of his life. He was a man who put others before himself without hesitation and lived each day with a heart full of love and a spirit anchored in God. 

Above all, Burreean found his greatest joy in being a father. He leaves behind five beautiful children—Elyanna, Elyssa, Bryce, Briella, and Brooklynn —who will carry on his legacy of love, strength, and laughter. He was known for his spontaneous humor, his devotion to his children, and his strong work ethic across many trades. 

Those who knew Burreean will remember his warm presence, his booming laugh, and the way he could light up a room simply by being in it. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. 

A private viewing will be held for family and close friends to honor and celebrate Burreean’s life and a small ceremony will be planned at a later date.
