Brian Gael Correa

Brian Gael Correa, age 9, of Elyria, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at University Hospital Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland.

Born on August 7, 2016, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he moved to Elyria with his family seven years ago. Brian began his education at Early Childhood Village in Elyria and continued at Hamilton Elementary School, where he was currently in the third grade.

He enjoyed being a member of the school’s football team and loved playing on his Xbox.

He is survived by his parents, Linda Noame Correa and Jeffery Garcia Aponte; his siblings, Lyann Suarez, Jeilan Garcia, and Jeilanny Garcia; his maternal grandparents, Emilio Correa and Wanda Feliciano; and his paternal grandparents, Luis Garcia and Gloria Aponte.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst.
