Brandon Fitzpatrick, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, in Westlake, Ohio, after a courageous battle with liver failure. Born on February 2, 1991, in Lorain, Ohio, Brandon was a vibrant spirit whose life was marked by his unwavering dedication to serving others and his profound love for his family.
Brandon was a proud graduate of Southview High School, class of 2009. He went on to serve his country honorably as a Military Police officer in the Army, completing one tour of duty in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011. His commitment to veterans continued well beyond his military service, as he became a lifetime member of both AMVets Post 32 and VFW Post 1079. He also played an active role as a volunteer with Ride with Valor, demonstrating his deep desire to give back to those who served.
In his professional life, Brandon worked as a truck driver, a position he embraced with the same dedication and pride that characterized all his pursuits. Outside of work, he enjoyed DJing, sharing music with friends and family, and hosting cookouts that brought people together. He had a passion for adventure and loved riding his Harley, often seen with a smile on his face and a spirit of camaraderie in his heart.
Brandon was known for his kindness and his willingness to help others, often described as someone who would give the shirt off his back to support a friend or loved one. He cherished the memories created with his family and friends, and his legacy will live on in the lives he touched.
Brandon is survived by his two cherished children, Caleb and Kinsley Fitzpatrick. He is also lovingly remembered by his parents, Rick (Paula) and Betty (nee Winders) Fitzpatrick; his brother, Blake Fitzpatrick; grandparents, Earl (Sherry) Winders and Geraldine Fitzpatrick and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Carrier, Grandma Inez Breast as well as his uncles, John P. Fonseca, and James Fitzpatrick.
Celebration of Life will take place on February 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM with a memorial gathering to follow until 4:00 PM at VFW Post 1079, located at 500 Abbe Rd S, Elyria, OH 44035. This gathering will honor Brandon's remarkable life and the indelible mark he left on all who knew him.
Brandon Fitzpatrick’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
