Bradford E. Goodrich

Bradford E. Goodrich, of Amherst, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, following a lengthy illness at St John Medical Center in Westlake. 

Born on February 7, 1954, in Grafton, Ohio, Bradford lived a life marked by dedication to his family, commitment to his work, and an enduring spirit of craftsmanship and care.

Bradford’s journey began in Grafton, where he grew up and attended Midview High School, graduating before embarking on his professional career. He went on to dedicate 36 years of service to the Ford Motor Company, marking a distinguished career in the automotive industry until his well-earned retirement. A proud and active member of UAW Local 425 and UAW Local 2000, Bradford valued the camaraderie and sense of purpose that came with his profession, forging friendships and memories that endured throughout his life.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bradford was known as a jack of all trades, whose talents extended far beyond the workplace. His passion for woodworking, particularly making clocks from trees, showcased both his creativity and meticulous handiwork. Always eager to spend time outdoors, Bradford found joy in fishing, camping, hunting, and gardening. These pursuits reflected not just his appreciation for nature, but also his practical skills and inquisitive spirit.  He also enjoyed making and playing his guitars.

At the heart of Bradford’s life was his family, whom he cherished above all else. He delighted in moments spent with loved ones, nurturing deep and lasting connections. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Valinda (nee Perry) Goodrich; his children, Steven (Debra Ward) Goodrich and Deanna (Chad) Erwin; and his grandchildren: Brandon, Matthew, and Christian. His memory will also be carried on by his sister, Shari Parlette; sisters-in-law, Judy Matthews and Sharon (Darrel) Kurth; and many nieces and nephews, each of whom was touched by his warmth and generosity.

Bradford was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Rosemary Goodrich; his brothers, David, Jim, and Frank; his sister, Carolyn; and his nephew, Matthew. Their memory was ever-present in his heart, and he now joins them in rest.

Throughout his life, Bradford’s legacy was built upon steadfast work ethic, a love of craftsmanship, and an unwavering devotion to his family and Jesus. His impact endures in the lives of those fortunate enough to have known him, each bearing a piece of his wisdom, laughter, and love.
