Bill E. "Billy" Phillips, age 74, of Lorain, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 at Amherst Manor Retirement Community, Amherst, following a lengthy illness.
Born February 2, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee, he moved to Lorain in the 1970's. Billy graduated high school and attended college.
He worked as a truck driver for Gross Plumbing for 33 years, retiring in 2006. Billy enjoyed watching western movies, grilling and spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his sons, Charles and Bill Jr. all of Lorain; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and a brother.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Sharon R. (nee Burleson) Phillips on November 16, 2018; sons, Michael and Danny; and a sister.
Private services for the family were held.
