Betty Lee Hill

Betty Lee "Becky" Hill (nee Saunders), 72, transitioned from this earthy life to be eternally with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sun., June 23, 2013 at Mercy Medical Hospital, following a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family and friends.
Betty was born on Thurs., August 1, 1940 in Richmond, IN to the late Frank and Ida Saunders. She moved from Richmond to Elyria when she was 15; and later to Lorain.
Mrs. Hill was a member of Glorious Apostolic Church of Elyria and attended Cathedral of Praise and CNC both of Lorain.
Mrs. Hill's hobbies were bingo, shopping, traveling, cooking and giving herself to those in need.
She is survived by her children, Cecelia A. Saunders of Lorain, Kevin A. (Darlene) Hill of Corona, CA, James A. Hill, Jr. of Lorain, Christopher A. (Bonnie) Hill of Cleveland, Vince E. (Nadine) Hill of San Diego, CA, Una L. (Ricky) Pamplin of Elyria; her siblings, Classie Washington of Indianapolis, IN, Delora Baker of Las Vegas, NV, Nathaniel McLemore of Cleveland, Lynda Carter of Lorain, Mona (Robert) Barnes of Jacksonville, FL, Jenny McLemore-Smith of Lorain; a host grandchildren to great-great; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James A. Hill, Sr.; daughter Penny L. Hill; sons Denny M. Hill and Kenneth G. Hill; and brother Anthony Saunders.
Friends may call on Fri., June 28,2013 from 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home 2701 Elyria Ave. Lorain, and also on Saturday from 10:00 until time of services at 11:00 a.m. at Compassion Baptist Church, 520 W. 22nd Street, Lorain. Rico wants her to know he loves her and wishes he could have been there with her. She was more like a mother to him than a mother in law. He will always remember how she never judged him and always loved him unconditionally. RIP <3

She was the BEST stepmother a girl could ever ask for!! It had Truely been a BLESSING to jave been a part of her specialheart n soul!! She has taught me so many things n life that i will always carry on n my life one day i will c her again!! I will GREATLY miss n love her forever everyday!!MayMay GOD bless the rest of the family as they go through this tough time
