Barbara J. Delestathis

Barbara J. Delestathis, a cherished member of the Lorain community, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in her hometown of Lorain, Ohio. Born on September 25, 1953, Barbara spent her life rooted deeply in the place she loved.

Barbara was known for her steadfast dedication and warm presence. She found great joy and fulfillment working at the Murray Ridge Workshop, where her spirit and kindness touched many lives. Those who knew Barbara also remember her fondness for playing bingo, a pastime she embraced with enthusiasm and good cheer.

Barbara was the beloved daughter of the late George and Doris Delestathis, whose memory she carried in her heart always. She is survived by her devoted brothers, David (Maxine) Delestathis and George (Sherri) Delestathis, who stood by her side throughout her life. She also leaves behind cherished family members including her niece Carrie, nephews Kevin and Adam, as well as her great niece Zoey, great nephew Brady and great great niece, Kylie.

Private services were held.  Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists handled the arrangements.

Barbara J. Delestathis will be remembered with great respect and love by those who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy of compassion and dedication remains a light for all who were fortunate enough to call her family and friend.
