Antonio Correa Reyes

Antonio Correa Reyes, 71, of Lorain, Ohio, went with our Lord and Savior on December 18, 2015. Antonio was born in San Juan Puerto Rico on November 1, 1944.
He was honorably discharged from the US Navy serving on the USS Boston CAG 1 during the Vietnam War. He retired from Ford Motor Company, Avon Lake with 38 years of service. He had worked as a painter and door fitter on the assembly line as well as in the Cleanup Dept.
His hobbies include leather craft, country music and karaoke. He enjoyed working on his 1968 Mustang and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Antonio was very proud of his Puerto Rican heritage.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mercedes Correa Rosado and his father, Antonio Reyes Maysonet; and his brother, Julio Correa.
He is survived by his loving wife Patricia Reyes, daughters, Cindy and husband Gyl Cendana from Maidsville, West Virginia, Antoinette Reyes of Lorain, Wendy and husband Miguel Jimenez of Sheffield Lake; a son Antonio Reyes II and Marissa Crouch of Lorain; brothers, Angel Maysonet and his wife Linda, Abe and his wife Gladys from Minniola, Florida, Ismael Colon of Rio Piedras, Puert Rico, Chenito Acevedo of Puerto Rico and sisters, Maria Helen Burbridge of Avon Lake and Midori Acevedo from Puerto Rico. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Isabella Rosalez, Nathan Cendana, Antonio Reyes III, Madison Jimenez, Dominic Jimenez, Natalia Reyes and Vinny Reyes.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. followed by Mass at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. William Thaden, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park. The Disabled American Veterans, Louis Paul Proy Chapter 20 will conduct military honors.
