Ann Thompson

Ann Thompson, (nee Ragnoni), age 76, of Lorain, died on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
Born on December 9, 1936 in Lorain, she lived here her entire life. She was a 1955 graduate of St. Mary's School.
Ann was employed as a medical secretary for Dr. Fischer and also worked for St. Joseph Hospital for 15 years.
Ann was a member of St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church. She enjoyed needle work, bowling and reading. She loved cooking, baking and preparing her Sunday meals and getting together with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald; children, Barbara (John) Garcia of Lorain, Carol Thompson, of Lorain, David (Devanie) Thompson of Byesville, OH, Susan (Robert) Kosmo, of Amherst and Laura (Darrel) Schumaker, of Elyria; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Fr. Jim Ragnoni of Akron, and Carl Ragnoni; and a sister, Mary Martinez of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Vincenzo and Angelina (nee Gacobelli) Ragnoni, brothers, Ed, Armand, Matthew, Vic and Johnny.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where services will be Saturday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by mass at 10:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, 2143 Homewood Drive, Lorain. Rev. Fr. John Ritar, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
