Alex P. Garcia

Alex P. Garcia, age 58, passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2020 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, Ohio following a short illness.

Born August 8, 1962 to Leopoldo and Betty June (nee King) Garcia in Lorain, Ohio, Alex spent most of his life in Lorain.  He attended Southview High School.  Later he attended Lansing Community College and Michigan State University where he studied sales, marketing and advertising.  Following college, he was the manager at Sun TV in Cincinnati and was the top sales associate for H.H Gregg in North Olmsted.  Alex was very interested in politics and was a member of the Lorain Area Republican Central Committee and the County Executive Committee.

He loved to travel, attend various concerts and was an avid Cleveland sports fan.

Surviving are his brothers, Richard Garcia, Gregory Garcia, Larry Garcia, David Garcia, Victor Garcia and Abel Garcia; sisters, Marie Elizabeth Behnke and Brenda Colosi as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother, Harley Conley.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 17 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.  Strict social distancing guidelines will be followed, including the use of masks.  Interment will be private.
