Albin Gonzalez

Albin Gonzalez, age 59, of Lorain, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

Born May 30, 1962 in Lorain, he lived in Elyria and graduated from Elyria West High School in 1979. He also lived in Florida, returning in 1980 to Lorain.

Albin was a member of Tower Baptist Church in Lorain for over 20 years. He was a former boxer and loved to swim. He enjoyed watching boxing and auto racing on television.
Surviving are his siblings, Miguel Gonzalez of Elyria, Gladys Mohr of Lorain and Sonia Sharp of New London; nephews, Jonathan Mohr and Pete Chaparro; nieces, Maritza Chaparro and Heather Humm; and great nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Carmen (nee Feliciano) Gonzalez Sr.; and brothers, Gary “DJ” Gonzalez and Pedro Gonzalez Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Tower Baptist Church. Rev. Michael Jamison will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the memorial service starting at 11:00 a.m. at the church. The Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling the arrangements.
