Alan Brown

Alan D. Brown, age 54, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 8, 2023, due to a massive heart attack in Lorain, Ohio.

He was born September 18, 1968, in Lorain, Ohio to Sarah and John Carswell.  Alan attended Southview High School where he ran track for two years and went on to get his GED in June of 1997. Alan and Linda met in high school but ended up losing contact and reconnected at their high school reunion. They dated for a while and later got married on May 26, 2017.

He loved to be with his family, cooking, being outdoors and if you knew him you knew one thing he absolutely loved was to clean.

Surviving is his wife, Linda Brown of Lorain; brothers, Tony Brown, John Carswell, Mike Carswell and Gerard Carswell, all of Lorain, as well as his many children of Lorain, Florida, Elyria, and Texas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Louise Carswell of Lorain; grandmothers, Virginia Gibson of Lorain and Cora Lee Carswell of Dublin, GA; grandfather, Willie Carswell of Dublin, GA and Dueby Brown of Elyria; an uncle, Darnell Brown of Dunwoody, GA and a nephew, Michael Jr. of Lorain.
