Aida I. "Lucy" Torres

Aida I. "Lucy" Torres (nee Caraballo), age 57, of Lorain, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at University Hospital, Cleveland, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on August 21, 1954 in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, moving to Lorain in 1991. She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel. Lucy loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her granddaughters.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jose D. "Chilo" Torres, her son, Josue Torres, of Lorain, daughter, Aida D. "Denisse" Torres, of Lorain, daughter-In-Law: Sheitza Torres, her 2 granddaughters; Alyha and Samantha Torres, mother, Juana (nee Caraballo), brother, Tito, of CT, and sister, Maribel Estremera, of NJ. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Lucy was preceded in death by her father, Pedro Caraballo and a brother, Papo.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 17, from 4-8 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Friends will also be received on Saturday, from 8:30 am until the time of her funeral Mass, at 9:00 am, at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. William Thaden, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
