Aida Luz Perez

Aida Luz Perez, Age 79, of Lorain, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026. She was born on January 1, 1947, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Having moved to Cleveland, OH with her family early on, Aida spent most of her adult life establishing roots in Lorain, OH. She was a person of deep faith who cherished a personal relationship with God. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren.

Aida is survived by her children, Diane Rivera (David), Luis Nelson Perez, Cynthia Serrano (Jose), Ruben Perez (Annie), and Jennifer Gutierrez (Dominic). She has 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Siblings, David Rivera (Carmen), Steve Rivera (Maria), Moses Rivera (Lillian), William (Diana) Rivera, Inez Serrano, Sammy Rivera, Johnny Rivera (Abby), Pete Infante Rivera (Laurie), and Ray Figueroa (Kimberly).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Maria Rivera, and grandsons, Gabriel Perez and Nicholas Jimenez, brother Ezekiel Rivera, and sister Carmen Serrano.

The family will be receiving family and friends on February 20th at Temple Emmanuel, 4230 Clinton Ave, Lorain, OH 44055, during visiting hours from 9:00-11:00 am, and a Celebration of Life service will follow from 11:00-12:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at the Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Pedro Negron will be the officiating minister.
