Lina L. Rodriguez

Lina L. Rodriguez (nee Urbina), age 94, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake following a lengthy illness.
Born September 17, 1924 in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, she came to Lorain in 1950. In 1960, she moved to New York where she worked for Royal Mills Ribbon Factory in Manhattan for 30 years. In 2016 she moved back to Lorain. She was a member of Jehovah Witness in New York City. Lina enjoyed cross-stitching and crocheting.
Lina is survived by her son, Alfredo Guzman Jr. of Lorain; daughters, Ana (Peter Arroyo) Guzman, Maria E. Guzman and Magdalena Cruz all of Lorain; grandchildren, Wanda (Chris) Peterson, Yolanda (David) Minnich, Liza (Edwin) Velez, Jeanette (George) Rodriguez and Mindy Guzman; great-grandchildren, Jillian (William) Carter, Jeremy Paynter, Brandon Williams, Morgane Williams, Amanda Gonzalez, Alyssa (Shawn) Nixon, Derek Rodriguez, Marcus Rodriguez, Andy Castro, Ryan Castro and Julian Castro, great great-grandchildren, Adam Carter, Madeline Carter, Alexander Nixon and Alyviana Nixon; step great great-grandchildren, Emily Peterson, Sean Minnich, Edwin Velez and Cameron Velez; a brother, Rosario Urbina in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico; and three sisters in Puerto Rico and one in New York.
Lina was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Rufina (nee O'Neill) Urbina; daughter, Bellalina Guzman; grandson Quintin E. Perez Jr.; and two brothers and three sisters.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of services at 12:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
