John G. Klinar

John G. Klinar, 71, of Lorain, passed away, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at his residence following a brief illness.
Born July 24, 1946 in Lorain, he lived in Tuscan, Arizona in his early years. John graduated from Admiral King High School in 1964 and received an associated degreed from Lorain County Community College.
John retired from Lorain Works US Steel where he was working as a clerk.
He was member of the former Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Lorain and an active and faithful member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Lorain. While at St. Frances, John was a member and past president of the Holy Name Society and had the honor of receiving the Holy Name Man of the Year award. He was also a member of the United Steel Workers Union Local 1104.
Surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Nellie Klinar.
Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 am until the time of services at 12:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Rev. John C. Retar, pastor of St. Frances Cabrini Parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
