Hector Enrique Toledo, age 75, departed on December 13, 2018. He was born on August 22, 1943 in Lares, Puerto Rico. He was a lifelong resident of Lorain, Ohio.
Hector retired from the Ford Motor Company with 30 years of service at Engine Plant I and II, in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was a simple man who had a generous spirit. He enjoyed cooking, especially soups and collecting cook books. He was a Cleveland sports fan and liked watching western movies. He also enjoyed planting his vegetable garden and sitting on the porch smoking his Pall Mall cigarettes. He will be deeply missed by his pet dog named "Gino" who was his best friend and companion of 11 years. Hector will be forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Maria Luisa (nee Beltran) Toledo; children, Maida Toledo, Hector Toledo, Elizabeth Toledo Bailey, Henry Toledo and Debbie Zertan; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and siblings, Carmen Corcino, Fredesvinda Miller and Angel Toledo.
Hector was preceded in death by his father, Jose Enrique Toledo; daughter, Margaret Ann Toledo Velasquez and brother, Victor Toledo.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. in Temple Emmanuel, 4230 Clinton Ave, Lorain. Rev. Pedro Negron will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
