Anthony Ramos

November 10, 1964 ~ January 1, 0001 (age 1963)
Anthony Erik "Tony" Ramos of Lorain, beloved father and son, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at the age of 45 following a ten year courageous battle against cancer.
Anthony was born in Lorain on November 10, 1964, spending his childhood in Sheffield Village and teen years in South Amherst. He was a loving and devoted father to his son, Tony, and son, Sebastian. Anthony will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. He could find a way to laugh at any situation. He was a true outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting with his younger brother, Mark. He was also a classic car and motorcycle enthusiast. Anthony will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Anthony graduated from South Amherst High School in 1984. He worked alongside his late step-father, Harold "Butch" Landreth and brother, Mark Landreth, for over twenty years in the family business as a window and siding installer.
Anthony is survived by his mother, Doris Landreth, of Amherst; his father, Edward Ramos, of Lorain; sons, Tony Ramos of Sheffield Lake, and Sebastian at home; sisters, Brigitte Hernandez, of Lorain, Cherie (Mike) Stutler of Lorain, and Monique Landreth of Amherst; brother, Mark (Denise) Landreth of Vermilion, and Aaron Ramos of Lorain; and his long time companion, Heather Tufts, at home; an uncle, Nick (Judy) Maynard, who recently took him on his last hunting trip in southern Ohio. Anthony also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Harold "Butch" Landreth; brothers, Edward Ramos and Denny Landreth; and a sister Gina Ramos. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Norma Maynard Serrano, Henry Maynard, Manuel Serrano, Francisco Vila, Santia Ramos, Pearl Landreth and Virgil Landreth.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 17, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a mass at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Ave. Rev. Fr. William Thaden, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
